Parallab 350™ - Magnetic Bead Purification

The Parallab 350™ includes all of the required tools to perform magnetic bead purification of your cycle sequenced or PCR product. The system has an onboard bead agitator station and a proprietary magnetic tool designed to work with 96 reactions simultaneously. For a standard cycle sequencing reaction, after the thermal cycling has completed, the Nano-Pipetter aspirates 500nl of bead solution into the glass tubes and mixes it with the reaction. The robot will then attach the magnetic separator tool to attract the magnetic bead particles with the purified DNA while the waste product is disposed of automatically. The Nano-Pipetter will then aspirate a volume of water to elute the DNA from the beads and then dispense the cleaned up product to an output plate for sequencing analysis. The Parallab 350™ uses only one tenth of the recommended amount of bead solution to purify a 500nl cycle sequencing reaction.
