Parallab 350™ - The Nano-Pipetter
A
key component in the Parallab 350™ innovation is the proprietary
Nano-Pipetter. This unique device is comprised of 96 miniature glass
tubes, positioned precisely to access either 96 or 384 microwell
plates. The Nano-Pipetter acts not only as a nanoliter liquid handler,
but also as the reaction vessel for the mixing, thermal cycling,
and purification process. The standard reaction size using the Nano-Pipetter
is only 500nl. Unlike conventional processing, the Parallab does
not merely move liquids from plate-to-plate and from instrument-to-instrument;
instead it performs all of the processing steps consecutively inside
of the Nano-Pipetter tubes in nanoliter reaction volumes.
| The Nano-Pipetter requires no additional disposable
tips and is cleaned for reuse in the onboard wash station.
Additionally, all of the tubes are easily field maintained
by the user.
