GeneFishing™ DEG Premix Kit |
DEG
stands for Differentially Expressed Gene and refers to all the genes
that are expressed differentially in mRNA level of two or more samples.
GeneFishing™ Technology is a new and unique approach capable
of identifying only authentic Differentially Expressed Genes (DEGs)
in two or more nucleic acid samples. This technology dramatically
improves specificity of PCR amplification so that it enables the
researchers to find only real PCR products as a result. GeneFishing™
DEG Premix Kits are the first application of Seegene's proprietary
technology based on innovative design of the primer (Annealing Control
Primer, ACP™, patent pending). No specific skill required!
No PAGE gel! No radioactivity! GeneFishing™ Technology is
so simple that even the inexperienced in gene discovery can find
DEGs showing sufficient resolution on agarose gel within 5 hrs.
Applications & Target Area
- For studying genes which express differentially by
each development stage
Ex. liver regeneration, hepatocyte spheroid formation, spermatogenesis,
embryogenesis, stem cell differentiation, developmental biology
and cell differentiation, etc.
- For studying disease-related genes (marker, inhibitor)
such as cancer
Ex. congenital heart defects, gastric adenocarcinoma metastasis,
pulmanary adenocarcinoma, wound-healing, pre-eclampsia, heart
disease, etc.
- For studying genes which express differentially by
biological change
Ex. contaminants, multidrug resistant, signal transduction and
growth factor actions, endocrine biology and hormone actions,
etc.
- For studying genes which express differentially by biological
change or sample treatment (medication or hormone) Ex.
heart shock, cold shock, hypoxia, etc.

genes (DEGs) discovery.
A. Identification of differentially expressed
genes by GeneFishing DEG101. Total RNAs from mouse conceptuses
at E4.5, E11.5 and E18.5 were used as starting materials for the
synthesis of first-strand cDNAs.
B. Confirmation of differentially expression
by Northern blot analysis using DEG1, DEG1', or DEG3 as a probe.
Features
- No False positives! (Maximum specificity)
Only authentic DEGs delivered! No false positives! GeneFishing™
DEG Premix Kits deliver the differentially Expressed Genes (DEGs)
which never fail in Northern blot confirmation.
- Guaranteed reproducibility
GeneFishing™ DEG Premix Kits generate highly reproducible
PCR products in every differential display set.
- No specific skill! (Simplicity)
No specific skill required! No PAGE gel! No radioactivity! GeneFishing™
Technology is so simple that even the inexperienced in gene discovery
can find DEGs showing sufficient resolution on agarose gel within
5 hrs.
- Extensive range of PCR product
Each GeneFishing™ PCR reaction generates long-distance PCR
products ranging from 150 bp to 2kb. This wide range of coverage
increases the chances to find DEGs and also provides more significant
sequence information for the prediction of gene function.

All of the GeneFishing™ DEG Premix Kits (DEG101~106) comprise
20 randomly selected arbitrary ACPs and each DEG Premix Kit works
equally for your target samples. If this is your first trial, we
recommend the GeneFishing™ DEG101. For further DEG study,
we recommend any of the other DEG series (101~106).
Components
20 Arbitrary ACPs (20 reactions)
